Hopefully the Governor will listen to his own advice: "Low voter turnout means fraudulent mail-in ballots could be more of an outsized factor in the race's outcome." The easiest way to make fraud, which will never be zero, insignificant is to increase the number of people voting.
Sure, making the ethics office have more teeth would help, but it will always be slow. We need to increase the consequences of ethics violations. For instance, if a politician uses their position to make money off a property, I think the whole property should be forfeited to the government. Simple, yet would likely make politicians much more careful.
